2-Day Chickaloon Alaska Rafting Trip -- This Alaska wilderness river rafting trip combines an exciting helicopter flightsee to a put-in with views of the rugged Talkeetna Mountains.

The trip is a fun class III river run with many miles of continuous whitewater. These are the only trips in this rarely visited backcountry.

At night, relax around the campfire and enjoy a sumptuous dinner. This pristine little river runs inside its own narrow mountain-walled valley before reaching the confluence with the Matanuska River in the community of Chickaloon.

There is paddle rafting for those who want a good workout on the almost continuous class III whitewater, or paddle assist with the oarsman. If you're looking for an exciting helicopter flightsee and a relaxing wilderness experience then consider the Chickaloon.

Summary: Does NOT include hotel pick-up. Price is per person. There is no child discount for this tour. No children under 12 are allowed on this trip. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 888-321-3640. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Notes
-Children under 12 years of age are not allowed on this rafting trip.
-You should bring layers of warm clothing, warm hat, and warm socks made of modern materials or wool.
-All river gear, including dry suits, life jackets, booties, gloves, and whitewater helmets, is provided.
-Includes top of the line gear that meets the demand for providing comfort in our environment. All you need is recommended personal clothing and hygiene items.

River Classification
So you can better understand the classification of rivers and decide whether it will be suitable for you, there is a list of the classes as provided by the American Whitewater Affiliation, along with a professional opinion and policy for suitability. (Please note: these descriptions, and all ratings listed for the individual rivers, can vary considerably with differing water levels. Please use the ratings as a general guideline only).

-Class I: Easy. Fast-moving water with riffles and small waves. Suitable for anyone age 5 and older, including the physically challenged.

-Class II: Straightforward rapids with wide, clear channels. Occasional maneuvering may be required, but rocks and medium sized waves are easily avoided. Suitable for same as class I.

-Class III: Rapids with moderate, irregular waves which may be difficult to avoid. Large waves and strainers may be present but are easily avoided. Injuries while swimming are rare. Suitable for those who don't mind getting a little wet, otherwise same as class I and II.
