Glacier Run Rafting Trip from Chickaloon Alaska -- This unique Alaska rafting trip starts near its source, the Matanuska Glacier.

Class II and III rapids make it suitable for ages 5 and up. This particular fork of the Matanuska River eventually meets up with the Lion Head fork.

Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 888-321-3640. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Notes
-You should bring layers of warm clothing, warm hat, and warm socks made of modern materials or wool.
-All river gear, including dry suits, life jackets, booties, gloves, and whitewater helmets, is provided.

River Classification
So you can better understand the classification of rivers and decide whether it will be suitable for you, we have listed the classes as provided by the American Whitewater Affiliation, along with our professional opinion and policy for suitability. (Please note: these descriptions, and all ratings listed for the individual rivers, can vary considerably with differing water levels. Please use the ratings as a general guideline only).

Class I: Easy. Fast-moving water with riffles and small waves. Suitable for anyone age 5 and older, including the physically challenged.

Class II: Straight forward rapids with wide, clear channels. Occasional maneuvering may be required, but rocks and medium sized waves are easily avoided. Suitable for same as class I.

Class III: Rapids with moderate, irregular waves which may be difficult to avoid. Large waves and strainers may be present but are easily avoided. Injuries while swimming are rare. Suitable for those who don't mind getting a little wet, otherwise same as class I and II.
