National Park Rangers
In order to enhance your onboard experience, all cruises are hosted by a National Park Ranger who will provide expert insight into wildlife, glaciers, whale watching and natural history of the area, including events such as the 1964 Great Alaska Earthquake. The Rangers are experts at spotting and pointing out wildlife and are always happy to answer questions about the Kenai Fjords National Park and it's inhabitants.
What to Bring
Because the Kenai Fjords National Park and the surrounding Chugach National Forest are considered a temperate rain forest, it is highly recommended that passengers prepare for diverse weather conditions. The key to comfort in Alaska is wearing layers of clothing. Comfortable walking shoes are great for all occasions. In spring, bring heavier layers, long underwear, warm hat and gloves, and warm boots.
