The salmon runs start in late June or early July with the Kings. Red Salmon are available in July and Silvers in August. We have an unusually large run of King Salmon. These are huge fish that weigh thirty to forty pounds. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, you'll have the time of you're life.

To preserve our fantastic fishing resource we adhere to a strict catch and release policy. However, our guests are encouraged to keep that special trophy for mounting.

About Fishing Tackle

We offer both spinning and fly fishing. After your trip is confirmed, we'll send you an equipment list with suggested clothing, tackle and gear. We also have a large inventory of fishing tackle for our guests to use.

You will be accompanied by an experienced guide. Their goal is that you have an enjoyable, comfortable and safe experience. You'll recieve the personal attention you deserve and a wilderness experience you'll never forget.

The lodge is located 140 air miles from Anchorage in the spectacular Talkeetna Mountains. Our lodge has been in operation since the late 1960s and is one of the finest wilderness lodges in Alaska. We offer a casual atmosphere and comfortable accommodations. The lodge overlooks the lake and is built of local spruce logs. We offer private rooms for two, bath, showers and a lake side sauna. Our large lounge has a natural stone fireplace and is a wonderful place to relax and share stories of the day's adventure.

We have an excellent cook and serve hearty meals, home-made soups, healthy fresh salads and fresh baked desserts. We accommodate special dietary requests.

Unique to the Lodge is our series of outlying cabins. These rustic cabins are warm, dry and comfortable. They form a loop through the Alaskan wilderness and are a comforable day's walk from each other.

We share this wilderness with wildlife such as this friendly fox which is often spotted near the cabins and lodge.

You're likely to see moose and maybe even an Alaskan Grizzly bear!
